There's a new user-friendly website for sharing information and updates on Welland International Flatwater Centre.
The City of Welland said the recently launched site is easier to navigate and has been restructured with an attractive and simple interface.
"Our residents, partners and event hosts are going to appreciate the updated and modern look of the new site," recreation and culture manager Richard Dalton said in a release.
"It's a critical channel for us to share information and updates for this important venue and the new site meets this need very well. Our team did a great job."
The new site includes facility updates, rental opportunities, an events calendar and a multimedia page, and offers community information with volunteer opportunities.
It was organized and created in-house and will be managed in-house as well to provide timely and valuable information throughout the year, the city said.
The city focussed on a user-friendly website to assist sports organizations, athletes, audiences and vendors with keeping current on events and competition results. Website visitors can also access information on the centre's paddle tank and download rental forms.
The flatwater centre is a state-of-the-art venue that hosts regional, provincial, national and international flatwater sports from May to November.
"Competitions ranging from open water swims to dragon boats are brought to the WIFC because its infrastructure exceeds current international standards for hosting and accessibility requirements," the release said.
